Waiting...

Spring is almost here! Just waiting for the cold to drift away and be replaced by warm sun...and in anticipation of that marvelous season, I made a card fittingly titled "Happy Spring."

This is actually one of my favorite cards I've made so far; I love the color scheme. And of course, who doesn't love spring drizzle and baby chicks? Also, I like that the circular shape of the card sets it apart from the rest.

"Chirp!"

"Hope" is the thing with feathers...

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -

That perches in the soul -

And sings the tune without the words -

And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -

And sore must be the storm -

That could abash the little Bird

That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chillest land -

And on the strangest Sea -

Yet - never - in Extremity,

It asked a crumb - of me.
I've loved poetry since I was a child and Emily Dickinson is one of my favorite poets of all time. Her poetry is written so simply, yet it's amazingly beautiful and insightful. The poem above actually inspired me to create a "Hope" card!

I'm trying out different card shapes...the "bracket" edge is so unconventional!
